5-Minute Salsa


The $1.50 invested into my cilantro plant is already paying off.  We had soft tacos for dinner last night, but didn't have any prepared salsa.  So I whipped up a quick salsa…and really, fresh is so much better than anything you could buy in the store.

5 Minute Salsa

  • 1 tomato
  • 4-5 small springs of cilantro
  • 1/8 of an onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

Dice the tomato and chop up up the onion into tiny pieces.  Mince the cilantro and add the salt, pepper and garlic powder.  Add the lemon juice, then give everything a quick stir to mix evenly.

I popped in into the refrigerator until I was done making the rest of our dinner, probably about 15 minutes, and it tasted so good.  It's really the cilantro that makes the salsa.
